When you see the symbol below, it means that you need to use the Expression
Editor to enter your answer. Click the symbol to open the Expression Editor.

out of a parentheses field, position the pointer to the right of the parentheses, and
click the mouse button.
For example, to enter 2(3 + x) + 1:

4. Click outside the parentheses, toward the right side of the display.

How do I enter a stacked fraction?
Click 
(the Stacked Fraction key). Then type an expression in
the numerator. Next, position the pointer in the denominator field and click the mouse
button, then type an expression in the denominator. To get out of a stacked fraction
field, position the pointer to the right of the fraction, and click the mouse button.
1. Click x; click +.
2. Click .
3. The pointer is in the numerator field. Click 3; click x.
4. Move the pointer to the denominator field and click.
5. Click 2.
6. Click outside the fraction, toward the right side of the display.
7. Click +; click 1.

How do I enter complex numbers?

keyboard. For example, to enter 5 + 3i:
1. Click 5.

How do I enter an expression inside an absolute value?

out of the absolute value field, position the pointer to the right of the absolute value
